Touchstone Advisors is a merger and acquisition (M&A) firm that sells privately held and family businesses that range from $3 million to $50 million in revenue. We employ the investment banking merger and acquisition model to lower middle market companies. We work primarily with manufacturing, distribution, technology and business-to-business companies.

Sales Process

Marketplace Principles:

Different buyers will pay very different prices for the same business. The synergistic/strategic buyer with the most opportunity will be in a position to pay the highest price. That synergistic/strategic acquirer will never offer all that a business is worth as long as it can buy the business for less.

The Touchstone Solution:

Identify the synergistic/strategic opportunities available to others. Identify acquirers that would benefit from those opportunities. Market the business without a price to acquirers, private equity groups, individuals and others. Place 4-5 acquirers in competition with one another.
